The Chicest Summer Frocks — D.C. Style

The neutral stripes make this easy shift a great choice for work, and the nude pumps are both practical and leg-lengthening.

This minimalist ivory number is a go-to for a hot day, and this local lady adds interest with pops of bright red and a cool graphic-print platform sandal.

This lightweight maxi-dress looks perfectly chic, thanks to center cutouts and double straps. A pretty flat sandal and a fresh-faced beauty routine complete her look. Black is for all season.

This would be our number one pick for a sweltering day — the loosely layered bodice and dipped hem create movement and look breezy. It’s definitely gonna keep you cool.

A petite frame can totally pull off a bold, graphic print.  Cinch the waist to accentuate your figure, and choose a hemline that flatters your lower half. Shannon Cusello does both with her halter-neck version.

Summer dresses don’t always have to be ultra-feminine. Here, a masculine leather messenger bag tempers the sweetness of a lacy lime green frock.

The perfect Little White Dress. The eyelet fabric, the buttoned bodice, the delicate straps — it all screams “summer” to me.

The color is ultra-flattering, and with bare minimum accessories, it keeps this look polished enough for just about anything.

Performance artist Holly Bass makes a simple A-line dress sing, thanks to fun frames, an eye-popping pedi, and a killer smile.

How to Wear Floral Jeans Like a Celebrity

There is nothing better to ease into a trend with the help of inspiration from some fashion forward Celebes .

Ashley Greene in J Brand
The Twilight Saga actress paired her forget-me-not J Brand jeans  with a gray and white colorblock top .Make sure it belongs to the same colour pallet as the pants .

Katy Perry in Alice + Olivia
The “Part of Me” singer landed in Sydney wearing Alice + Olivia’s rose-print jeans paired with a Peter Pan-collared black top by the brand for a sweet look. Avoid large prints if you are petite. This will make a cute date – outfit.

Stacy Keiber in 7 For All Mankind
The pro wrestler paired her rainbow-bright 7 For All Mankind floral leggings with a stark white tank, keeping all the attention on her trendy jeans.

Minka Kelly in Dolce & Gabbana
The Charlie’s Angels actress softened the look of her leather jacket by adding sweet white jeans with multi-colored posies by Dolce & Gabbana.

Katie Holmes in Current/Elliott
Katie Holmes  mixed her buttoned denim top with pink rose print Current/Elliott jeans and sky-high stilettos which makes the look so laid-back. Wear heel to lengthen your legs and make a even bolder statement.

Shenae Grimes in Alice + Olivia
The 90210 actress paired her tough-girl leather top and booties with girlish Alice + Olivia rose print jeans. Add solid colour jackets to wark off the chill. Not bad for GNO ………

Kristin Cavallari in Joe’s Jeans
Kristin Cavallari layered a black Rebecca Minkoff blazer over purple and pink Joe’s floral jeans for a pop of color. This could make a smashing office look just swap the heels.

Rihanna in Alexander Wang
The Battleship star tied a denim button-down over ombre Alexander Wang jeans with fine floral detailing. She finished the look with white heels. This two-tone floral pant is not for the faint of heart and highlight your legs like no other. If your legs are your best asset then go for it !! It’s party time outfit !!

Minka Kelly in 7 for All Mankind
Kelly modeled a fresh take on the tee-and-jeans principle by swapping out basic blues for a floral-print 7 for All Mankind pair with pear details. Every thing is good as long you don’t play too much with colour.

Ciara in Citizens of Humanity
The singer looked ready for summer in a white tank and flirty floral shorts by Citizens of Humanity. She accessorized with black gladiator sandals. These are quite daring and definitely looks great. This is Beach -party or outdoor music festival appropriate  look .

Lana Del Rey in Citizens of Humanity
The “Video Games” songstress covered her white Citizens of Humanity jeans featuring little yellow roses with a khaki trench.

Amber Heard in J Brand
Amber Heard made her floral J Brand jeans business-ready by adding a black blazer and matching pumps.

Free People’s Staff (Yep, Real Women!) Shows Off Its Latest Denim Line

We are so tired of looking at perfect pictures of models in every other look-book. The photoshopped  pictures are even worse and so unreal. when I came across the Free People’s Latest Denim Line I was surprised to find Free People’s Staff this is (Yep, Real Women!) showing off the latest look.  Covered in patchworks, decorated with rips, and patterned with prints, Free People’s denim line is for the anti-plain Jane. While non-believers might suspect that super-adorned jeans might look busy on regular gals, Free People set out to prove you wrong by wrangling their own staffers to show off how they wear the new denim line.  You gotta have a look.

So refreshing to look at real woman with not so perfect bodies modeling for the look-book … what do you think ? ……….

Miami Swim Week’s Best Street Style

Capture Fashion’s Amanda Del Duca looks heaven-sent in white, channeling Blake Lively with a messy bun.

We saw 463 jumpsuits (an estimate), but Cynthie Guzman’s amethyst number was our number-one onesie.

One of our favorite looks, hands down, Carolee Butler is almost red carpet-worthy. The Grecian pleats are amped up with a bright red lip that almost (but doesn’t) steal the show.

The bob of Electric Blogarella’s Ginger Harris was all over this year, and while all of her outfits were standouts, this breezy number was a perfect afternoon fix.

Jennifer Laine borrows from the boys and pairs an oversized button-down top with tiny mini and heels

Clad in a Pamela Love necklace and breezy frock, designer Mara Hoffman totally killed it at Swim Week this season. Congrats!

Sharp stilettos toughen up Leighanne Jones’ otherwise girlie ensemble.

Tiffany Winter’s statement-making neck candy almost distracted us from those solid wedges

Leather? In the middle of July? Yeah, Kelly Roux went there.

The creative director of Fringe Direction lives up to her title in this boho number.

The slightly sheer skirt adds just the right amount of va-va-voom!

Summer Shorts

The outfit is comfortable and on trend as sheers are back. Shorts are a must-have for summer wardrobe. I opted for a sheer shirt which you can personalize by tucking in partly as opposed to completely tucked in polished look. The ballet flats are nude coloured which goes with almost every thing. I love accessories and added a mustache neck-lace  and heart shaped ear-rings to complete the look. With bags  I like to keep thing neutral.
