Guess Accessories Fall 2012 Campaign

J.Crew ‘Hello, World!’ Campaign

Real people , real location hence real clothes …. no photoshoped models. It’s all about originality in the   J.Crew ‘Hello, World!’ Campaign. Clothes that can be worn by real people and are utilitarian. The photographers in their eight-city tour  managed to capture ten tastemakers across the globe including bloggers, fashion designers, magazine editors and boutique owners.

Elisabetta Venturelli, a fashion designer from Milan, Italy, says that when it comes to her style, “I love mixing different styles to create improbable yet sophisticated combinations.” Her idea of the perfect finishing touch? “Jewelry, glasses and a hat.”

The campaign also features Caroline Issa, who works at Tank magazine, in London. “I like clothes that make a statement, whether that’s in a color, a texture or a cut. I’m not afraid of putting prints or colors together that might not necessarily go together naturally,” Caroline says about her style. Her idea of the perfect finishing touch? “A red lip.”

Takahiro Kinoshita, Editor-in-Chief at Popeye magazine, Tokyo, reveals that, “I like traditional style that’s authentic.” His essential article of clothing? “An oxford shirt.”

Classical violinist Charlie Siem also stars in J.Crews ‘Hello, World! campaign. Speaking about how he became a violinist, Siem says that, “When I was 3, I heard the violin on the radio, Beethoven’s Violin Concerto — still my favorite piece — and I was enthralled. I’ve been lucky enough to share the stage with the Royal Philharmonic and Moscow Symphony orchestras and even The Who.” As on his style, Charlie admits that, “I gravitate toward unostentatious, smart clothes.”

“It’s not about having expensive clothes, being on trend or having a perfect body. People who inspire me are people who really make me feel like I know a little more about their personality — their strengths and their weaknesses — when I look at them. It’s what gives them charm,”

On styling her look, Garance explains that, “I always try to mix shiny clothes with rougher items. I don’t like to feel overdressed or too pretty-pretty, so I wanted to pair the skirt with something supercasual like a military jacket, a jean jacket or flats. Scott told me to keep the heels, so…”

Berta Bernad, a talented photographer and blogger from Madrid, Spain, says that her style “depends on the day and my mood. I might get up and want to dress up, or just grab the first thing in my closet that catches my eye.”
On her blog, “I studied journalism, so I love to observe everything! From the moment I wake up, all I can think about is my blog. It’s not only about fashion, it’s about art, friends and my lifestyle. I hope it helps others find their style.”

Just Cavalli Fall/Winter 2012 Campaign

The youthful, laid back attitude we spotted in the Just Cavalli spring/summer 2012/winter ads takes a dramatic turn for the edgy in the fall 2012 campaign. Edginess, from attire to beauty choices is the dominant impression that sticks from the first moments one takes a glimpse of the campaign.A vote for non-conformity, a bold attitude, grunge influences and the label’s most recognizable trademark, animal prints are the possible style alternatives for the new season. Fur is another trend the label promotes for the new season.

While the color palette isn’t extraordinarily varied, the multitude of bold touches certainly manage to compensate. From slipping into a sexy printed dress to bold printed pants combined with comfy sweaters, the looks feel fairly effortless yet oh-so-glam.

Lara Stone for Calvin Klein Fall 2012 Campaign

From the denim on denim look to the sexy, racy and slightly shiny finish that inevitably takes some courage to wear considering its show stopping abilities along with its slightly unusual factor, the choices seem to point out that the next months are the months of experimentation, sexiness and complete desire to stand out, all of which require decent levels of self confidence as well as a desire to experiment.

Less is truly more when talking about fab casual wear which can also translate into club wear.

Max Mara Studio Fall 2012 Campaign

Elegance and femininity are always a great perspective to live by, even more so during the cold seasons when the choices tend to become more subdued and less colorful, which can feel somewhat like a style restriction.

Highlighting femininity is once again a top concern. However, unlike many summer collections which abound in florals, bouffant styles and a lot of flashy tones, the new style perspective is much more modest and oriented towards classiness.

Accessories are another important part of the looks presented. Among the best outfit boosters leather gloves, hosiery, fun brooches, classy handbags, leather boots or elegant pumps are some of the most interesting options worth mentioning.
