Why you need to get your clothes tailored

As a fashion student, I have a little more insight in the production of clothes.Tailored clothes fit much better than ready to wear clothes as rule of thumb. Let us discus the pros of getting your clothes tailored. 

#Tailored clothes are timeless and classic. They bring out the best in you accentuating  your asset.They make the best impression be it interview or social gathering. Through out the ages seamstress have been working behind the scenes, creating masterpieces.    

   

#Power dressing. Nothing beats a tailored suit. 

#Perfect fit. Mass produced clothes are made in standardized sizes that might not fit you properly. This is because our bodies are different and a shirt that might fit you shoulders may be too wide around the waist.On the other hand standardize sizes might fit you perfectly as it does for few people. They can straight way order clothes online and wear them the next day. While most of us had to tailor almost each garment or else compromise with the fit. 

 

#Girlboss need to have their clothes tailored. They need to make a lasting impression, and inspire the mass. 

#Comfort. Get comfortable in you own clothes that fits you like a dream. Banish extra fabric in unusual places, and highlight you best asset. 

#Your tailor is your personal designer, who makes one of a kind garment that makes its way into you wardrobe.

#Unique piece. Aren’t you tiered of seeing the exact similar piece from Zara or H&M that everyone seem to own. A tailored garment can be simple, but have knock off detailing that is not found on ready – to – wear garments.

 

#Get creative. Get involved in the process of tailoring . Help the designer to create a piece you will love. Fabrics, lining, colors, details … 

#Signature Style. It is easy to put you signature on a tailored piece than a regular ready-to wear garment. I seem to fall in love with a piece and stick to it for a really long time. I have shirt which are 5 years old and need to be trashed because I have worn them out.  I love shirt and the only way to get them right is to get them tailored.

#The cost factor. It might be expensive to get your clothes tailored but it is a worthy investment. Skilled seamstress will charge for their expertise but you will get a timeless and unique piece. My 5 piece french wardrobe can definitely afford tailored pieces. 

It’s absolutely Ok if you are not perfect

In this era of Instagram, we strive so hard to be picture perfect.Mastering all the tips and tricks to get the perfect click. With the rise of cosmetic surgeries and complex make up technique to cover up all the flaws, beauty and looks have gained more importance than talent and personality. Contrary to popular believe perfection is not beauty. Beauty is being yourself, not striving for perfection. Beauty is embracing you flaws and living with grace.

It’s ok to stumble and fall. The only thing that matters is that you stand up again. It is ok to be twenty something and still not know what to do with your life. We learn a lot from our mistakes and some of them are the stepping-stones to success.Don’t be scared to take chances and make mistakes

To err is human and to forgive is divine. Ever heard the saying “To be perfect is human” I have not.

We would have been born clones if we were supposed to be perfect. Instead we all are born unique and different. Our difference sets us apart makes us who we are. Uniqueness is more valuable that being perfect and loosing yourself in the process. 

Flawed people are real people. Did you even find yourself locked in a conversation with a stranger who has gone through the same situation as yours and feeling a kinship that you are not alone. It is easier to relate to people who have made mistakes or taken chances. You will have lot’s of interesting stories to tell and memories to keep you smiling when you are old.  

Be yourself define you won success and perfection.Focus on things that matter and are important to you. Remember perfection doesn’t guaranty happiness. 

We are all work in progress, our lives in constant flux. Be like a butterfly, live in the moment and that is perfection in itself.No one is perfect, even your role model with the perfect career and makeup has some flaws and hangups. 

The perfect job, the perfect career, the perfect life, the perfect body, the perfect wardrobe. Will that make you happy ? Is that what you really want?  At the end of the day will that put a smile on you face and make you feel happy.

The Isabel Marant for H&M collectionleaked two months early! That is quite early ..

The collection is leaked but I just want to have a look at it .. no offence … I am sure you do to ..

A H&M spokesperson stated that it was ‘not a sanctioned release.’ You see, the new Isabel Marant for H&M collection seems every bit as amazing as it was anticipated and we bet it will sell out in no time.

The designer promised and delivered cool alternatives with a Parisian flair.Items of daily wear with stylist but casual vibe. The colour pallet is mostly red black and white all my favorites.

Pantone Spring 2014 Color Trends Forecast

The forecast of spring summer 2014 is here and the colour pallet has lots of blue and leans towards sophisticated colors. Colours are important part of fashion and it is important to update your self with the latest colour trend.

The Pantone Color Institute has released its spring 2014 color trends forecast for men and women

Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute’s executive director is the first to notice this interesting change and stated that: “What’s interesting is we’re seeing exciting and fashionable colors as well as more neutral ones. It’s not as though everyone is willing to wear the bright colors from recent seasons head-to-toe. There needs to be equilibrium, and that is a more serious word than balance. The world still needs the stability of soft neutrals but we’re not just talking about gray, beige and taupe,” WWD.com reports.

I am not a huge fan of bright colours but I love neutrals , darker pallets and shades of blue. 


Blue tones will steal the spotlight in the spring 2014 season. The most popular color for women for spring 2014 is Dazzling Blue, while for men Placid Blue tops the list of the most popular colors for spring 2014, according to forecasts. So blue is a major colour 2014 seasons.Most likely the new black of 2014 is blue.

Number two in top 10 women’s Pantone colors spring 2014 is Violet Tulip, a sophisticated pigment which flatters many skin tones. The first six positions of the top are reserved for refined, vibrant tones: Radiant Orchid, Celosia Orange, Freesia and Cayenne. The last four positions are reserved  more versatile tones: Pacid Blue, Paloma, Sand and Hemlock.

The tones Placid Blue, Paloma, Dazzling Dlue, Cayenne, Sand, Celosia Orange and Freesia are found in both of the tops. 
The news comes right in time for Spring 2014 Fashion Week and I can’t wait to see how these color trends will be represented in the new spring 2014 collections from the industry’s most influential leaders. Days Without Jeans ………. part 2

The LWD is in fashion and booties too …..

The simple black and white horizontal stripes look daring when paired with orange stockings . Stockings are great option if you don’t want to show too much skin .

Go for a tie and dye dress and pair it with statement necklace to complete the look.Chunky bangles and bags to complement it if you will.

A simple dress like this has go it’s own charm. The color is unique and the style is unusual. Upper half is sweater and the lower part a full skirt with defined waist. A simple and comfortable look.

If you not comfortable with shorter hemline go a bit longer.This length is flattering on almost every one and provides enough coverage for cold weather. The dress is successfully paired with black long coat and ankle boots and a head piece.

Play with different types of hemline not only in length but also in form.The handkerchief hem is style.

The unique hemline and the red and black patches in the otherwise simple polka dot dress  is trendy . The red belts adds to its charm.

The charcoal gray tapered dress pants paired with classic white button down and black jacket is office appropriate and on trend.

you can also go for printed pants  like the criss-cross pink and blue stripes on black background .Pair them with solid colored top or you can even play with prints.

I simple love this outfit the bold black and white vertical striped trouser and the mint green shrug paired with a simple black top look simple and fuss free.

The cut of the coat is cool and the layering does not look bulky at all. Layering is a art that girls in cold weather must graduate in.

Hats of to the one’s who can wear this pair of pant and be comfortable in it all day round . Personally I do not recommend sun extreme fashion that is uncomfortable. But this outfit is a hub of texture. Texture play a very important role in monochrome outfit.

Mustard yellow have been ruling the run for few seasons and the colour is sober and bold at the same time.Office appropriate and with a white top you can never go wrong.

The monochrome outfit is smart and not slouchy.The break in the colour comes where the belt and the funky shoes are added . The bold red lips add a touch of freshness.

Liquid leggings someone.. I love the way she has matched the bag and shoes while keeping rest of the outfit in neutral tone.

Another great example of layering without bulking up.

Double dose of leather is so cool and trendy way to stay warm. Leather is great alternative for jeans and gives edgy vibe as well

The dressy hot pant is not every ones cup of tea but the polka dot stockings and white button down make is work appropriate. This a great piece for your wardrobe as the shorts can double as evening wear when paired with dressy tops.

The office outfit is very simple but lovely. The moccasins and scarf are  good add on. The off white colour pant suit is simply chic.

The floral pant suit is comfortable options …..for a lazy day .We all go through a lazy day now and then so this it is good to have some ready made laid back outfit in the closet.
